Thesis: Social-ecological processes linked to landscape performance in ecological parks

Research Interests and Future Goals: My dissertation research applies systems thinking to explain how people-nature interactions influence the performance of urban parks designed for sustainability. Broadly, my interests include the ecology and sociology of urban parks, ecological and sustainable landscape design, landscape performance, and social-ecological systems. I aspire to become an urban parks and social-ecological systems scholar and to serve as a research partner or team member in real world intervention settings to facilitate the uptake of performance evidence in the creation of sustainable urban green spaces.

Fun fact about Stephanie: I like drawing and graphic design. As a kid I was obsessed with drawing my dream house, seen from above like a floor plan, and complete with furniture, fountains, and interior gardens. These days I like to do cartoons and logos.
