Research Interests and Future Goals: Fares (or Ferris) works on research that uses marketing and technology to ameliorate health, economic and societal outcomes. Specifically, he uses retailers’ loyalty data and retail store field experiments to understand how people develop habits, and to design interventions that nudge customers to purchase food that is optimally nutritious and affordable.

Prior to joining the PhD Program, Fares was a Research Analyst at the McGill Centre for the Convergence of Health and Economics and a guest lecturer at the Goodman School of Business, Brock University.

Fun fact about you: In his free time, Fares is completing his Private Pilot License.
