Thesis: Agricultural Urbanism: Reutilizing Urban Wastewater for Cultivating Regenerative, Smart & Healthy Communities

Research Interests and Future Goals: Coming from an aquascaping background, I like projects involving water, it’s a fascinating compound that we encounter in various forms every day. It brings out different energies and emotions in people depending on what it’s used for and how it’s used. I’m currently researching ‘Agricultural Urbanism: Reutilizing Urban Wastewater for Cultivating Regenerative, Smart & Healthy Communities’. This includes considering recycling effluent water for agricultural irrigation purposes, and creating a true circular economy with water!

As for my future goals, I look forward to applying my knowledge in landscape architecture, urban agriculture, and water onto landscapes, to exhibit these elements as a celebration of resources and coexistence of ecosystems! I hope to integrate my knowledge and creativity of aquascaping into landscape architectural practices through multi-disciplinary collaboration and partnerships.

Fun fact about you: My biggest passion is aquascaping, the art of creating realistic or surreal landscapes with live plants and materials in aquariums. Please check out some of my past works on my Instagram page @ ‘fantasi_scapes’!
